If you are new to chatting on the Internet, you might want to read these safety tips before you begin. Next you will need to download and install a chat program. I strongly recommend X-Chat if you have a cool Linux box and mIRC if you are misfortuned to have a Windows machine. After you have downloaded and installed a chat program, connect to a DALnet server near you. Please refer to your chat program's documentation if you have difficulties.
